Job Title: APIGEE Platform Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced APIGEE platform developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience deploying and managing APIGEE Hybrid runtime on Kubernetes clusters, automating infrastructure with Terraform, and managing Kubernetes applications using Helm charts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage APIGEE Hybrid runtime plane on Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, or on-prem Kubernetes).
  • Perform installation, upgrades, patching, and maintenance of APIGEE Hybrid and APIGEE X environments.
  • Manage APIGEE runtime components including Message Processors, Synchronizers, and Cassandra clusters within Kubernetes.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform and Helm charts.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash/Shell and Python to streamline deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with API teams to support API proxy deployments, troubleshoot runtime issues, and optimize platform performance.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for APIGEE platform deployments and API lifecycle management.
  • Monitor platform health, capacity planning, and perform troubleshooting for runtime and infrastructure issues.
  • Work closely with network, security, and cloud teams to configure secure and compliant environments.
  • Support multi-cloud and hybrid cloud deployment strategies, ensuring seamless integration and governance.
  • Document platform architecture, operational procedures, and automation workflows.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with APIGEE Hybrid runtime deployment, Kubernetes clusters, and Terraform.
  • Proficiency in scripting with Bash/Shell and Python, along with solid Google Cloud Platform (GCP) knowledge.
  • Experience with Helm charts, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with API design principles, API security, and API performance optimization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
