Our organization is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data Testing Specialist to join our data engineering team.

About the Role

We're looking for a highly experienced professional with strong expertise in Python, data manipulation, RESTful APIs, and testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute automated and manual test cases for data validation and transformation processes using various tools and technologies.
  • Validate data integrity across multiple sources including databases and APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data flows and ensure quality across the pipeline.
  • Design and implement data comparison, profiling, and anomaly detection scripts using Pandas and other relevant libraries.
  • Test data against RESTful APIs for correctness, performance, and reliability.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Work with NoSQL databases like MongoDB for data storage, retrieval, and intermediate queries.
Required Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language and experience with data manipulation libraries like Pandas.
  • Hands-on experience using testing frameworks like Pytest or similar tools.
  • Experience with data validation, data profiling, and data quality frameworks and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and their data models.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and collaboration tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
