Procurement Specialist Job Description

This role involves handling the day-to-day procurement operations processes, including purchasing to order conversion, fixed asset creation and capitalization, supplier re-certification, contract drafting, and system updates.

The successful candidate will contribute to key performance metrics of the team, such as Service Level Agreement, quality, and efficiency. They will collaborate with category managers, accounts payable, vendor risk management office, corporate ethics & compliance teams, information security & privacy, and contingent workforce program team to drive issue resolution and process improvements.

This Procurement Operations Manager position requires a strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work in an exciting, fast-paced, and robust team environment. They will also have experience in P2P tools like Ariba/Coupa and ERP systems like SAP/Oracle.

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for building awareness of common pitfalls and conducting periodic or need-based reviews with key partners. They will carry out special projects and drive continuous improvements, providing due clarity and support to internal partners on procurement policies and standard methodologies.

To succeed in this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in any subject area, with at least 5-7 years of validated experience in procurement operations. A Master's degree is preferred. You should also have thorough knowledge of procurement processes, exposure to both product and services procurement in at least two categories, and experience in contract drafting, collaborating with legal, and knowledge of legal terms in a contract.

The ideal candidate will have solid understanding of intermediate to advanced Excel, professional-level proficiency in English, and working experience in multi-cultural/multi-region shared services or procurement organization. Exposure to using reporting and metrics tools like Tableau/Power BI is a plus.

Qualifications

A thorough knowledge of procurement processes is necessary, along with experience in P2P tools like Ariba/Coupa and ERP systems like SAP/Oracle.

Experience in contract drafting, collaborating with legal, and knowledge of legal terms in a contract is an added advantage.

Working experience in multi-cultural/multi-region shared services or procurement organization is a plus.

An exposure to using reporting and metrics tools like Tableau/Power BI is a nice-to-have.

Solid understanding of intermediate to advanced Excel and professional-level proficiency in English are desired.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, are essential.
