Job Description

At Amazon, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for our employees. As a WHS Officer, you will play a critical role in executing company safety policies and ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Environment, Health & Safety, with experience in managing multiple sites and stakeholders. You should be able to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis. Additionally, you should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Partner with site operations teams to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
  • Leverage lean principles and kaizens to lead continuous improvement initiatives and reduce conditional and ergonomic risk.
  • Buid trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
  • Instruct and train Operations Leaders in company safety policies and assist in incorporating safety standards into site operations.

Requirements:
  • B.Sc. / Diploma in Engineering / B.E or B.Tech
  • 2+ years previous experience in Environment, Health & Safety
  • Experience managing multiple sites and stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
