Senior Tax Research Analyst Job Description

The role of a Senior Tax Research Analyst is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of tax content. The candidate will play a key role in analyzing, interpreting, and presenting complex tax legislation and concepts in a clear and authoritative manner.

This position requires someone who can analyze domestic and international tax topics, draft technical articles, case studies, and analytical notes, develop explanatory notes, annotations, and summaries to make complex tax provisions accessible, and assist in designing and delivering training modules.

The ideal candidate will have professional qualifications in Tax, Accounting, or Law, 5–7 years' experience in taxation, exceptional research, drafting, and analytical skills, excellent English written and verbal communication skills, and a strong understanding of international tax frameworks.

Responsibilities

  1. Review, interpret, and validate tax laws, regulations, treaties, and official guidance for publication.
  2. Ensure content is accurate, timely, and aligned with international standards and best practices.
  3. Draft technical articles, case studies, and analytical notes on domestic and international tax topics.
  4. Develop explanatory notes, annotations, and summaries to make complex tax provisions accessible.
  5. Assist in designing and delivering training modules (introductory to intermediate).

Requirements

  • Professional qualification in Tax, Accounting, or Law (e.g., Chartered Accountant, LLB/LLM in Tax, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • 5–7 years' experience in taxation, with strong exposure to international tax concepts.
  • Exceptional research, drafting, and analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complexity.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of international tax frameworks (OECD, BEPS, treaties, Pillar 1 & 2) and core tax concepts.
