Required Skills and Qualifications

• Exposure to Snowflake, FiveTran, DBT Cloud">
• Exposure to other data-intensive or distributed systems (Kafka, Cassandra, etc.)">
• Contributions to improving SRE practices (e.g., error budgets, blameless postmortems)">
• Experience with AWS">
• Experience with containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm">
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation">
• Typical SRE responsibilities: programming/scripting, networking basics (DNS, LB/ELB, TCP/IP, VPN/VPC), CI/CD (GitHub/Gitlab)">
• Strong Linux background">
• Thorough knowledge in DevOps practices and concepts">
• Hands on skills in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD (Cloud Native CI/CD tools), etc. Hands-on experience with configuration automation tools such as Ansible">
• Experience in cloud native tools and technologies including Docker and Kubernetes">
• Experience in test automation tools and mechanisms such as JMeter, Newman, etc.">

About the Role

This is a highly responsible individual contributor role that works with financial domain customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and experience in multi-cloud or hybrid environments.

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Terraform scripts for DBT Cloud, GitHub, etc. and work directly with phData Provision Tool and related infra tooling. They will also automate environment setup, deployments, and key rotation practices, collaborate with STL and Senior Engineer to ensure seamless operations, and handle AWS IAM, RSA key management, and 1Password Vault usage.

The successful candidate will have 6+ years of experience in software engineering, experience with chaos engineering or resilience testing, and experience in multi-cloud or hybrid environments. They will also be able to write clear runbooks and do postmortems, exposure to Snowflake, FiveTran, DBT Cloud, and other data-intensive or distributed systems, contributions to improving SRE practices, experience with AWS, containerization & Orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

They should also have typical SRE responsibilities, strong Linux background, thorough knowledge in DevOps practices and concepts, hands on skills in CI/CD tools, experience in cloud native tools and technologies, experience in test automation tools and mechanisms, experience with infrastructure automation tools, experience with application monitoring tools, knowledge and experience in at least one development language, scripting knowledge, and ability to communicate effectively with different project stakeholders.
