Cloud Native Software Engineer

We're on the hunt for a skilled software engineer to develop cloud-native applications using Python and FastAPI.

  • Develop and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices using Python and FastAPI.
  • Implement and optimize APIs, worker services, and event-driven systems.
  • Work with Kafka (Confluent) for real-time data streaming and processing.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and support CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deploy and manage applications using Docker and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Work with cloud platforms including services such as Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, or equivalent.
  • Integrate and support monitoring and observability tools.
  • Ensure high code quality through unit testing frameworks, code reviews, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Implement caching solutions and handle data transformations.

This role requires:

  • Strong programming expertise in Python.
  • Experience with FastAPI (or equivalent frameworks like Flask/Django).
  • Good understanding of Async I/O and Pydantic.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kafka (Confluent), and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git/GitHub).
  • Practical experience with cloud services (preferably GCP, but AWS/Azure acceptable).
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging solutions (New Relic or similar).
  • Strong understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching (Redis).
  • Knowledge of XML/XSD processing, XSLT transformations.
