Fund Accounting Team Lead

This is a senior-level position in our fund accounting team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of fund accounting activities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the team in delivering accurate and timely Net Asset Values (NAVs), as well as performing various types of reconciliations between client general ledger data and market data providers.
  • Overseeing core fund accounting activities, including corporate actions, trading and non-trading accruals, pricing of portfolios, and computation and analysis of profit and loss.
  • Resolving reconciliation breaks efficiently through coordination with clients and external sources.
  • Managing open/closed-ended Hedge Funds by focusing on reconciliation and integration of trades for clients.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly preparation of Gross Asset Value (GAV) and NAV includes booking capital activities, performing market value reconciliation, computing profit and loss, expense accounting, dividend accrual reconciliation, bond coupon accrual reconciliation, and confirming trial balance ledgers tie-up with sub-ledgers.
  • Ensuring quality delivery as per standard operating procedures and working effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Interacting professionally with clients and counterparties, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements:
  • MBA (Finance) or Chartered Accountant qualification.
  • Strong understanding and experience of accounting principles, specifically in fund accounting NAV calculation, performance calculations, and pricing and valuation of financial instruments.
  • Working knowledge of a broad range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, OTC products, and hedge funds.
  • Proficiency in working with accounting tools, general ledger packages, valuation tools, and front/back office processing systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and maintain quality delivery.
