We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DBA to join our organization. In this role, you will help develop and design scalable technology solutions that are critical to our success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage production databases servers, including security, deployment, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
  • Set up SQL Server replication, mirroring, and high availability across hybrid environments.
  • Design and implement new installations on Azure, AWS, and cloud hosting with no specific DB services.
  • Deploy and maintain on-premise installations of SQL Server on Linux/MySQL installation.
  • Ensure database security and protection against SQL injection and intellectual property exploitation.
  • Work with development teams to assist with data storage and query design/optimization.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of essential applications.
  • Demonstrate expertise and provide valuable input throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Help design and implement scalable, lasting technology solutions.
  • Review current systems and suggest updates as required.
  • Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document procedures to set up and maintain a highly available SQL Server database on Azure cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
  • Test and debug new applications and updates.
  • Resolve reported issues and respond to queries in a timely manner.
Key Competencies/Skillsets
  • SQL Server management on Hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud, preferably Azure, AWS).
  • MySQL backup, SQL Server backup, replication, clustering, log shipping experience on Linux/Windows.
  • Setting up, managing, and maintaining SQL Server/MySQL on Linux.
  • Experience with database usage and management.
  • Implementing Azure Hyperscale databases.
  • Financial Services/E-Commerce/Payments industry experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with multi-tier, object-oriented, secure application design architecture.
  • Cloud environment experience, preferably Microsoft Azure, on Database service tiers.
  • PCI DSS experience a plus.
  • SQL development experience a plus.
  • Linux experience a plus.
  • Proficient in issue tracking tools like Jira.
  • Proficient in version control systems like Git, SVN.
  • Strong understanding of web-based applications and technologies.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on company success.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with clients via different modes.
