Automation Specialist Position

We are seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to join our team. This individual will have expertise in scripting and hands-on experience in automation tools and Linux/Unix environments.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Ansible, Python, Perl, and version control systems, with additional exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and debug automation scripts using Ansible.
  • Translate technical requirements into clean, efficient code.
  • Write and optimize Bash/Shell scripts for automation tasks.
  • Manage and maintain source code repositories using SVN or Git.
  • Work with Linux/Unix operating systems and execute basic commands and system operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot automation and deployment issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Ansible.
  • Proficiency in Perl and/or Python scripting.
  • Understanding of SVN or Git version control systems.
  • Good knowledge of Linux/Unix OS and basic command-line operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Added Advantage Skills:

  • Bash/Shell scripting expertise.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and/or Azure Cloud.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of load balancers and related configurations.
