Key Role Overview

We are seeking an innovative and seasoned Data Architect to lead the development and optimization of our data ecosystem. This position demands a deep technical expertise in data modeling, databases, cloud platforms, and integration frameworks.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Technical (70%):
    • Design scalable and secure enterprise data architecture for structured and unstructured data.
    • Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines using ETL/ELT frameworks.
    • Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models to ensure consistency and governance.
    • Optimize database performance and implement partitioning, indexing, and query tuning strategies.
    • Deploy and manage data solutions using cloud-native tools.
    • Implement data security frameworks and encryption.
    • Introduce metadata management and track data lineage using industry-standard tools.
  • Leadership & Strategic (30%):
    • Define data architecture standards and best practices.
    • Lead and mentor engineers in architecture principles and implementation.
    • Partner with teams to translate requirements into data-driven solutions.
    • Drive adoption of data governance and data quality frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in SQL and Python or Scala for data processing.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and cloud data platforms.
  • Knowledge of real-time data streaming and big data frameworks.
  • Understanding of data security and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills to influence and guide technical and business teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture roles with at least 3+ years as a Data Architect.
  • Relevant certifications preferred.
