Storage System Engineer Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, Develop, and Customize Controller Firmware: Create cutting-edge firmware solutions for enterprise-class storage systems, leveraging your expertise in NAND Flash technologies (SLC, TLC, QLC).
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Hardware, Validation, and Software Teams: Work closely with internal and external teams to deliver high-quality solutions, contributing to the success of our storage products.
  • Debug and Troubleshoot Complex Firmware Issues: Utilize your analytical skills to identify and resolve complex firmware problems across multiple layers.
  • Support Device Characterization, Benchmarking, and Performance Optimization: Drive product performance by conducting thorough testing, characterization, and optimization of storage devices.
Requirements:
  • Strong Proficiency in C/C++ and Assembly Programming: Demonstrated expertise in programming languages essential for firmware development.
  • Hands-on Experience with Storage Interfaces: Proven knowledge of PCIe/NVMe, AHCI, SATA, SAS, UFS, eMMC interfaces.
  • Proven Experience with Firmware Design, Customization, and Support: A track record of delivering high-quality firmware solutions, including customization and support.
  • Strong Analytical and Abstract Thinking Ability: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to Work Independently in a Collaborative Environment: Self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience Working in Agile/Scrum Environments: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and their application in software development.
