Hitachi Storage Engineer role is available for an experienced professional who has worked extensively on storage operations support.

This position requires a skilled and experienced individual with strong technical expertise in Hitachi Mid-Range and Enterprise storages. The ideal candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and experience in handling various activities related to storage pool creation, zoning via CISCO SAN Switches, and storage replication technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage storage infrastructure events, including capacity management, monitoring storage subsystem and SAN switch capacity, and performing capacity analysis.
  • Investigate and diagnose raised problems or problem records for root cause analysis, perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance, and interface with assigned engineers.
  • Mentor and train junior administrators on storage infrastructure and best practices.
  • Oversee the design, installation, configuration, and de-provisioning of storage solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Perform performance management tasks, including capacity tuning, remediation recommendations, and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in handling majority of activities mentioned above.
  • Experience in handling Hitachi storages and Brocade switches infrastructure.
  • Exposure to Operations and Management activities on Hitachi Storage(s), Unified compute platforms, various Host O/S including basic cluster management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Hitachi Technical certification.
