Job Title: Data Storage Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to assist in maintaining and supporting large-scale storage systems. This role requires a strong focus on ensuring high availability and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide level 2 and level 3 support for various storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, ECS, and MF DASD + TAPE, in a complex banking environment.
  • Perform daily health checks, monitoring, and routine tasks using established procedures to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Acknowledge and triage alerts; log and update incidents in a service management tool to maintain accurate records.
  • Execute backups and restores under change control to prevent data loss.
  • Escalate to higher levels with accurate diagnostics, logs, and metrics to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, such as PCI DSS and SWIFT.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning drills to maintain platform readiness.
  • Promote strong documentation, evidence-driven troubleshooting, and clear communication with stakeholders to ensure successful issue resolution.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in storage administration, ITIL processes, incident management, and service management tools.
  • Knowledge of Dell EMC, Cisco, and other relevant technologies is essential.
  • Certifications such as Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE Storage certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
