Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to contribute to the development of cloud-native products and services for our Kubernetes product ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, experience with cloud-native technologies, and a willingness to learn new technologies.

  • Contribute to product development and implementation
  • Learn and collaborate with the team to design the product roadmap
  • Support cloud infrastructure deployments using Platform9 products, including troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Continuously monitor and improve product performance, scalability, and reliability
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a team player with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for working in a data-driven organization.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with programming in Python or Golang
  • 8-12 years of experience in a software development role
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, switching, routing, and network protocols
  • Prior experience in developing networking products is highly desirable
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Being a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes or Openstack/Devstack is a plus
  • Prior experience with Linux networking stack, kernel modules, and device drivers is a plus
