Job Description

The role of Automotive Embedded Hardware Director involves overseeing the technical delivery of automotive electronics hardware for global vehicle OEMs. This encompasses various products such as instrument clusters, in-vehicle infotainment systems, cameras, information displays, and cockpit electronics controllers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently lead electrical hardware design tasks to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Review customer specifications to guarantee alignment with requirements.
  • Develop automotive products featuring microprocessors, system-on-chip (SOC) technology, high-speed memory, LVDS, FPD Link-III circuitry, and high-speed design tailored for automotive applications.
  • Design and develop digital core, audio, camera, and video signals, analog, and digital control logic, linear and switching power supplies for automotive applications.
  • Perform worst-case analysis and simulations to verify compliance with customer demands.
  • Support product design reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Create and maintain schematic and assembly drawings while adhering to change management protocols.
  • Develop and maintain electrical Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
  • Generate electrical data for ECAD layout support and collaborate with ECAD designers.
  • Assist in building hardware prototypes.
  • Establish product verification plans and conduct testing.
  • Provide support during EMC and validation testing.
  • Apply structured problem-solving techniques to resolve test failure issues.
  • Present product design, analysis, and testing findings to customers.
  • Utilize lab equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, and multi-meters.

Successful candidates should possess excellent leadership and technical skills, with a strong background in automotive electronics hardware development. Proficiency in electrical design tools, simulation software, and ECAD design experience is essential.
