Job Description">

The role of a Financial Controller involves overseeing the financial management of a Heavy Engineering/Shipyard operation. This includes ensuring that all financial contracts are aligned with the company's policies and profitability targets.

As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for conducting detailed cost analyses to ensure the feasibility of financial contracts. You will also evaluate direct and indirect costs, including materials, labor, overhead, and subcontracting expenses.

Additionally, you will review final contract settlements, including retention payments, warranties, and guarantees. You will also assist internal, statutory, and government auditors in invoice verification and address any queries they may have regarding contractor bills, cost center allocations, and approvals.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the Heavy Engineering/Shipyard industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed cost analyses and evaluations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
