Job Overview:

We seek an experienced Chief Healthcare Technology Strategist to lead our claims processing engineering teams. This individual will drive technical strategy and team growth while ensuring system reliability, performance, and security standards meet healthcare compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect scalable healthcare claims processing systems handling millions of transactions.
  • Lead system design reviews and technical decision-making for complex healthcare workflows.
  • Maintain high-quality services by optimizing system reliability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with architects on system integration patterns and data flow optimization.

People Management:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of software engineers across multiple product areas.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence.
  • Recruit top engineering talent and build diverse, inclusive teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with 1+ years in leadership roles.
  • Strong system design experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on coding experience and knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), databases, and modern engineering practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR) and knowledge of healthcare claims workflows and adjudication processes.
  • Leadership experience in the healthcare industry or similar regulated industries preferred.
