High Voltage Inverter Mechanical Design Engineer

This is a key role in the development of high-voltage inverters, focusing on the mechanical aspects of design and engineering.

  • Design and Development: The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating innovative solutions that ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of high-voltage power inverters. This includes designing mechanical packaging, structures, and thermal management systems.
  • Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of HV inverter mechanical design and development is required, including knowledge of components such as power modules, DC link capacitors, EMC filters, and shielding.
  • Clearances and Creepage: The successful candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding clearances and creepage distances.
  • Simulations and Analysis: Conducting simulations on structural, thermal, and other relevant areas to optimize design performance is an essential part of this role.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Unigraphics NX (modelling, drafting, plastic & casting design, generative sheet metal, generative shape design, DMU) is expected.
  • Drafting and Documentation: Excellent drafting skills and adherence to international standards for documentation are necessary.
  • Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing: Knowledge of GD&T principles and practices is also required.
  • Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA): Experience with DFM/DFA principles to ensure efficient manufacturing processes is essential.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders are required.
