Job Title: Value Chain Analyst

The Role of a Value Chain Analyst involves leading research and analysis of existing and potential value chains. This role requires designing methodologies, conducting stakeholder consultations, and generating evidence-based insights to inform promotion strategies.

This position entails:

  • Leading the approach for value chain scoping and analysis with a sustainability lens;
  • Identifying essential stakeholder groups and developing robust field survey instruments;
  • Conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, and field surveys;
  • Leading technical discussions on prioritization and analysis of value chains;
  • Drafting and delivering high-quality technical reports, including value chain maps and sustainability analysis.

This role is ideal for those with a strong background in sustainability, natural resources management, and/or nature-based businesses. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in value chain analysis, including sustainability dimensions.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Business Administration, or related field;
  • English & Hindi proficiency;
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in sustainability, natural resources management and/or nature-based businesses;
  • 5 years of experience in value chain analysis and promotion activities;
  • At least 4 years of total experience in projects in India.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced skills in value chain analysis, including sustainability dimensions;
  • Field survey design, stakeholder engagement, and interview facilitation;
  • Report writing and technical presentation skills;
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior staff and enumerators.
