API 6A Equipment Design Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead our engineering team in designing and developing pressure control equipment per API 6A standards.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in API 6A standards, surface pressure control equipment design, and proficiency in Inventor, Vault, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools.
- Design and develop pressure control equipment, including valves, wellhead components, and tree assemblies.
- Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using CAD software.
- Conduct FEA and mechanical calculations to validate designs.
- Ensure compliance with API 6A, ASME, and customer-specific requirements.
- Cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain teams.
Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); Master's preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering in the oil & gas industry.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with API 6A product design and certification processes.
- Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, API 6A, and API Q1 standards.
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to internal engineering standards and best practices. A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills are essential for this role.
