Mortgage Pre-Closing Specialist Job Opportunity

Are you a skilled professional seeking a challenging role in mortgage loan processing? We are looking for an experienced Mortgage Pre-Closing Specialist to join our team.

In this critical position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth processing of mortgage loans. Your responsibilities will include reviewing loan packages, creating initial and subsequent closing disclosures, and coordinating with title and settlement agents to ensure timely closings.

  • Loan Review and Disclosure: Review loan packages and create initial and subsequent closing disclosures (CDs) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinating Closing Process: Coordinate with title and settlement agents to ensure timely closings and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Data Verification: Verify data in closing disclosures is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Fee Management: Request fees from settlement agents and perform fee analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Closing Document Preparation: Prepare preliminary closing disclosure and issue initial closing disclosures/re-disclosures to clients as needed.
  • Pipeline Monitoring: Monitor individual closing pipeline, workload, and volume levels for maximum balance and efficiency.
  • Document Review: Review power of attorneys (POA), cash to close, and final closing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Closing Document Delivery: Deliver final closing documents and review them for accuracy.
  • Funding Authorization: Provide funding authorization to title/escrow agents as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent for US operations and a graduation degree for India operations with 18 months of experience in preparing initial and final closing documents.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used mortgage concepts, practices, procedures, and Fannie Freddie guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of any loan origination systems.
  • Basic knowledge of MS office tools.
