Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance, stability, and scalability of mission-critical database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on big data technologies and proven expertise with Greenplum Database, Postgres, and database administration.

  • Support large-scale distributed database environments, driving automation initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data infrastructure.
  • Maintain and optimize databases, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Contribute to the automation of routine DBA tasks using Ansible, Python, Shell, or Perl.
  • Partner with DevOps and SRE teams to modernize database environments through CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex database issues, performing root cause analysis across application, network, database, and infrastructure layers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable data solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).- 7+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong focus on big data technologies.- Proficiency in database administration (installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting).- Strong experience in performance tuning, replication, and high availability in Postgres/Greenplum environments.
