Coffee Quality Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled coffee professional to oversee procurement and quality assurance at the origin level, ensuring exceptional green coffee beans for export.

This role requires strong technical expertise, relationship skills, and a passion for coffee.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate beans before purchase at various coffee farms and curing works to guarantee high-quality products.
  • Carry out quality checks from farm collection to curing and sorting to ensure consistency with export specifications.
  • Cup and evaluate samples to verify consistency with export requirements.
  • Prepare detailed traceability and quality reports for each lot procured.
  • Coordinate procurement activities once contracts with suppliers are finalized to maintain efficient logistics.
  • Manage supply chain operations from farm to curing works and up to export stage (sampling, weighment, warehousing).
  • Maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and curing units to foster partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with Coffee Board of India and FSSAI guidelines for regulatory adherence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in coffee (procurement, quality control, cupping, or farm-level operations) with a focus on quality excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of green coffee beans, grading, curing processes, and cup quality analysis to identify potential issues.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation for traceability, compliance, and reporting purposes.
  • Familiarity with export-related logistics and processes is an advantage for efficient operations.
  • Fluency in Kannada (mandatory); basic English for reporting and supplier/buyer coordination.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Karnataka's coffee-growing regions for site visits and assessments.
  • High integrity, reliability, and a genuine passion for coffee drive success in this role.
