Job Title: Financial Management Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced financial management specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, GST compliance, and income tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly in the system using Tally ERP.
  • Process Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process timely payments and collections, ensuring smooth cash flow and minimizing delays.
  • Reconcile Bank Statements: Reconcile bank statements and ensure GST compliance for both sales and purchase transactions.

Preparing Tax Returns:

Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.). Maintain accurate records of GST paid and received, including reconciliation with accounts.

  • Assist with GST Audits: Assist with GST audits and ensure proper documentation is in place for audit purposes.
  • Calculate and Deduct TDS: Calculate and deduct TDS from applicable payments as per income tax laws. Ensure timely deposit of TDS with the government and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, Form 26Q, etc.). Prepare TDS certificates (Form 16/16A) and provide them to employees and vendors.
  • Manage Financial Transactions: Manage all financial transactions, including sales, purchase, expenses, and payroll entries, using Tally ERP.

Financial Reporting:

Generate financial reports such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Trial Balance on a regular basis. Ensure that all entries in Tally are accurate, complete, and in compliance with accounting principles.

  • Monitor Fixed Assets: Monitor and manage fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Filing Income Tax Returns: Ensure the timely and accurate filing of income tax returns, GST returns, and TDS returns.

Stay Updated:

Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Assist with tax audits and work with external auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Internal and External Audits: Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits. Ensure all financial transactions are accurate and comply with the company's internal controls and auditing standards.
  • Cost-Saving Measures: Monitor financial performance and assist in identifying cost-saving measures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in accounting and finance, with expertise in GST, TDS, and Tally ERP.
  • Strong Understanding: Strong understanding of Indian tax laws, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency: Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and other financial software.
