Job Title: Database Developer and Healthcare Data Specialist

Our team is seeking a skilled Database Developer and Healthcare Data Specialist to join our dynamic organization. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support healthcare-related data processing.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL programming, query tuning, and performance optimization, as well as proficiency in relational database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, ETL processes, and tools such as SSIS is also highly desirable.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand healthcare data requirements and translate them into database solutions. This includes managing, manipulating, and processing large datasets to ensure data integrity and quality. Additionally, you will develop and maintain healthcare-specific reports and dashboards, supporting business intelligence teams with data extraction and transformation for analytics.

As a healthcare data specialist, you will ensure adherence to healthcare data standards, such as HL7, FHIR, ICD, and CPT codes, and maintain compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory requirements. Performance tuning and optimization of databases, including query optimization and system tuning, are also key responsibilities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in SQL programming, query tuning, and performance optimization; Proficiency in relational database management systems (RDBMS); Experience with cloud platforms, ETL processes, and tools such as SSIS.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare data models and standards; Understanding of claims, EHR, EMR, or other healthcare workflows.
  • Other Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; Customer interaction skills; Good verbal and written communication skills, appropriate for executive-level communication.
