Artificial Intelligence Backend Developer

 

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled software engineer with experience in applied machine learning to co-assist in designing and building production-ready AI systems.
  • This role combines strong software engineering fundamentals with expertise in artificial intelligence, requiring the ability to scale and deploy high-quality ML solutions.
  • The position offers the flexibility of working from home for part of the time and is based in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust backend systems & APIs to deploy and scale AI-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design cost-efficient, high-availability AI pipelines and scalable cloud-supported backend solutions.
  • Implement end-to-end product development: data ingestion, preprocessing, model serving, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in backend development, with a focus on building scalable distributed systems.
  • Programming languages: MERN, Python, Golang, Java (optional).
  • Databases: Strong experience with PostgreSQL, familiarity with NoSQL/MongoDB.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS SageMaker/Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, Azure AI.
  • Versioning & Collaboration: Git, GitHub/GitLab, code reviews, unit testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of MLflow, Kubeflow, DVC, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Ability to write clean, modular, and scalable code with strong debugging & testing discipline.
