About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Technician to join our team. As a key member, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe redeployment of medical devices after each rental cycle.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough disinfection and cleaning of medical devices in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct rigorous inspections of devices for functional issues after patient usage, identifying any necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Replace components and consumable parts as needed, maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Perform routine quality control checks and maintain calibration logs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Troubleshooting & Basic Repairs

  • Diagnose and repair electronic issues related to control units, including minor repairs and software/firmware updates.
  • Coordinate with our R&D team for advanced repairs or escalations, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Provide technical expertise for basic electronics troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, ensuring optimal device performance.

Device Deployment Support

  • Responsible for device pickups and installations at hospitals/home-care centers, ensuring timely delivery and setup.
  • Deploy new devices/rental devices as per requirement, providing basic usage training to nursing staff or caregivers when necessary.
  • Ensure effective communication with hospital staff, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.

Maintenance & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate service logs, device usage hours, complaints, and interventions, providing valuable insights for operations and product teams.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly reports for the operations and product teams, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • B.Tech / Diploma / ITI in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in servicing medical equipment (e.g., infusion pumps, suction machines, ventilators, patient monitors).
  • Hands-on skills in basic electronics troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Familiarity with hospital infection control practices is a plus.
