We're currently seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior accounting experience, with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting.

About the Role

This role involves performing month-end closing activities, including management & operational reporting, journal postings, and variance analysis. You'll work closely with our onshore team to resolve any issues and provide critical support for analysis and decision-making.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Performing management & operational reporting, including monthly MIS, transaction listings, flash reports, expense/FTE reports, and performance dashboards.
  • Preparing and posting journals into the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely completion of month-end tasks.
  • Conducting variance analysis and writing commentaries on actuals vs forecast/budget to identify key drivers and inform business decisions.
  • Providing consolidated snapshots post-month end close to support senior leadership meetings and strategic planning.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A B.Com graduate degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent reconciliation, accounting & reporting experience, preferably in a similar industry or role.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel, particularly with VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of accounting applications such as TM1, Oracle Discoverer, and Cognos is an asset.
