Electrical Systems Engineer

Lead the development of power electronics systems, including DC-DC converters, onboard chargers, inverters, and battery management interfaces.

  • Define system architecture and component specifications for high-voltage battery systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Oversee simulation, modelling, and analysis of power electronics circuits using tools like PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, or LTspice.
  • Guide PCB layout for high-power designs ensuring EMI/EMC compliance and thermal management.
  • Drive validation and testing of prototypes in lab and vehicle environments.
  • Evaluate and select components such as IGBTs, SiC/GaN FETs, gate drivers, magnetics, and capacitors.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and functional safety.

Key qualifications include:

  • 3+ years of experience in HV systems engineering and battery management system design.
  • Expertise in agile methods and toolsets such as JIRA, SCRUM, and KANBAN.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle system interfaces and integration for distributed features onboard.
  • Extensive experience in HV product development for EV and system engineering.
  • Good engineering knowledge of a few different vehicle subsystems.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and initiative skills, with the ability to drive success and overcome complex engineering problems. Experience with CAN tools, TCP/IP networks, and engineering tools like FMEA, DFM, DFA, and Six Sigma is highly desirable.
