Job Role

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing production to ensure it meets company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Production Coordination: Responsible for coordinating resources including manpower, machinery, materials, and finances to guarantee timely project completion.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Workplace Safety and Environmental Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods to prevent production disruptions.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 to 15 years of experience in freight car business and wagon manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications such as Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of production processes and procedures, including welding, assembly, and testing.

Key Competencies:

  • Expertise in wagon engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in executing large-scale production projects.
  • Understanding of quality control and safety regulations in rail industry/heavy fabrication industries.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies.
