Our organization seeks an accomplished leader to oversee the product engineering process for various product lines. This role requires collaboration with senior leaders, product managers, developers, quality analysts, and infrastructure specialists.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, able to take charge of end-to-end product engineering requirements for multiple product lines, and drive the execution of product roadmaps. As a thought leader and mentor, you will serve as an expert on architecture, design, and technical aspects of products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating strategic product plans with cross-functional teams.
  • Serving as a thought leader and mentor on architectural, design, and technical aspects of products.
  • Identifying and implementing suitable tools, frameworks, techniques, and processes to facilitate product engineers' work and resolve technology challenges effectively.
  • Responsible for product development, testing, deployment, and maintenance within agreed time frames.
  • Owns all non-functional requirements (NFRs) for products.
  • Contributes to the selection and hiring of product engineering team members.
  • Responsible for full-stack product development and releases, including architecture, design, development, and testing within agreed time frames.
  • Adapts and iterates quickly based on user and business feedback and metrics.

Desired skill set includes experience in PDC's, Agile software development, using off-the-shelf software components, shipping value to customers, being hands-on and confident with Typescript, working with JavaScript-based front-end frameworks and Node.js, building and deploying RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints, working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and being familiar with observability tools.

Qualifications and experience: BE/B.Tech or any equivalent degree with 12-20 years of relevant experience. The job is based in Madurai, India, with flexibility to work from the office. Our company provides matchmaking and wedding-related services, expanding into international markets.
