Job Overview:

The Operations Manager will lead offshore teams in reviewing processes, providing recommendations for improvement, and working towards national benchmarks and client-specific KPIs.

This role supports project work for all functions with offshore teams, ensuring timely completion guidelines are met.

Maintain or exceed team productivity and quality standards among offshore partners.

The Operations Manager works closely with the Vice President to understand and communicate the economic impact of upstream revenue cycle errors causing denials. This includes providing data and implementing effective processes to correct actions.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and direct overall operations of Offshore Partners assigned to RCM tasks, ensuring timely completion.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President to set and manage target performance levels and reduce offshore staffing to meet the 50 FTE threshold by clearing backlogs.
  • Ensure the team stays current with billing regulations and industry requirements, updating pathways, reviewing with offshore teams, and following processes.
  • Maintain an objective of maximizing cash collections, minimizing A/R inventories, and minimizing write-offs/non-collectible adjustments.
  • Engage with and manage the AR Follow Up team, including routine productivity and quality reviews.
  • Assure the team meets follow-up quality and productivity standards.
  • Identify denial trends and make recommendations for prevention.
  • Create a monthly executive QA tracker of offshore performance for all functions, sent to offshore vendors and VP monthly.
  • Provide bi-weekly progress status and trends to the VP.
  • Validate and approve monthly AR, invoices, and report to the VP.
  • Develop pathways for all functions used offshore, working with team managers and directors.
  • Provide management and supervisory duties related to educating and training staff, evaluating staff performance, and monitoring productivity.
  • Interview, hire, train, evaluate, and develop subordinate staff, where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain quality control programs, including in-depth and individual performance reviews.
  • Orient new hires and provide in-services and training, continuing education, and development related to functional areas of responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Protect patients' protected health information (PHI) according to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years' experience managing and leading a physician business office/professional services CBO or MSO staff at a supervisory level or higher.
  • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
  • Reliable, responsible, goal-oriented, and flexible.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • High degree of integrity, successfully dealing with sensitive or confidential information.
  • Exhibit poise, composure, and confidence in stressful or high-pressure situations.
