Job Title:

Lead and Manage the Security Operations Center

">Job Description:

The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center, including threat monitoring, detection, and response. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a SOC or similar security function and possess strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center, overseeing L1, L2, and L3 analysts to detect, investigate, and respond to incidents.
  • Improve SOC processes by enhancing threat detection, incident response times, and automation capabilities.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for client security incidents, providing guidance and managing reporting, resolution, and improvement strategies.
  • Monitor and ensure SLAs are met consistently, delivering timely security services to clients.
  • Prepare regular client reports on incident analysis, threat trends, and operational performance.
  • Lead incident response activities, including response plan development and execution, to mitigate threats and minimize impact on clients.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence within the SOC.
  • Develop security policies, procedures, and incident response frameworks to ensure best practices and compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8-15 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a SOC or similar security function.
  • Deep understanding of SOC operations, threat intelligence, incident management, SIEM tools, and security frameworks.
  • Proven expertise in managing and mentoring cybersecurity teams, developing junior and mid-level analysts, and enhancing team performance.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients, explain complex security incidents, and deliver high-level reports and recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection) and an in-depth understanding of cybersecurity vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or similar, are highly preferred.
