Azure Data Engineer Role

The primary goal of this position is to architect, develop, and maintain large-scale data processing systems on Microsoft Azure. We are seeking a seasoned Azure Data Engineer with 7+ years of experience in handling intricate data pipelines, big data processing, and cloud-based architectures.

  • Design and implement scalable data warehousing and business intelligence solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and other related services.
  • Implement efficient data ingestion, processing, and storage mechanisms using Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Azure Storage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering components into larger software applications.
  • Develop and maintain real-time data streaming pipelines using Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and Azure Event Hubs.
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance through implementation of best practices and industry standards.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Familiarity with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and NoSQL databases like Cassandra.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, and high availability principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, serverless computing, and containerization.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, C#, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
