Backend Development Lead

Kissht is dedicated to making credit accessible to everyone, powering millions of transactions each month and scaling rapidly.

We seek a seasoned Backend Development Lead who can not only write clean, efficient code but also guide their team to do the same, focusing on solving complex problems and building scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write high-quality code in Golang and ensure the team adheres to best practices.
  • Collaborate with the product team to understand new features and projects, identifying the most effective way to implement them.
  • Design robust systems capable of handling large volumes of requests without compromising performance.
  • Leverage Kafka, AWS services, and containerized deployments to maintain system efficiency.
  • Maintain code quality by conducting thorough PR reviews and enforcing adherence to best practices.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and product backlog discussions to ensure team alignment.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation to prevent knowledge gaps within the team.
  • Distribute work effectively within the team, ensuring timely delivery of tasks.
  • Monitor system health using tools like Grafana, New Relic, Sentry, and promptly address any issues that arise.
  • Contribute to the improvement of CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts (Python/Shell).

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of backend development experience, with at least 4+ years in Golang.
  • Strong system design skills and experience building large-scale systems.
  • Familiarity with Kafka.
  • Proficiency with Docker; Kubernetes experience is beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, ECR, S3, Lambda, Secrets Manager, EC2, Route 53).
  • A good understanding of MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Grafana (Loki, Tempo, Prometheus), New Relic, Sentry.
  • Ability to write basic automation scripts in Python or Shell.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
