Quality Assurance Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager to lead our QA team and drive quality excellence in the manufacturing of transformers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the quality assurance team in conducting various QA functions during manufacturing, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and expectations.
  • Develop and implement quality policies and procedures to meet or exceed customer needs.
  • Review contractual requirements related to product quality and plan necessary actions for compliance.
  • Handle customer inspections and complaints, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with production teams to analyze root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain and improve a process-oriented Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Coordinate with functional heads/staff to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure timely availability of updated product/process documentation.
  • Participate in internal/external audits and provide relevant training to staff.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and prepare reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of design and manufacturing processes of transformers.
  • Awareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 management systems.
  • Experience with failure analysis techniques and preparation of RCA reports.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control tools and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to interpret complex data, drawings, and QAPs.
  • Excellent decision-making skills, with ability to make informed decisions.
  • Exposure to critical and overseas customer inspections.
  • Personal management skills and computer proficiency in MS Office.
  • Desirable: Quality certifications (CQM and Six Sigma – Black Belt) and work experience with ERP.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 12+ years of experience in QA, with at least 5 years in the transformer industry.
