Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

The role of Cloud Infrastructure Specialist is critical to the success of our organization. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced individual who can develop, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure that supports our Warehouse Management System and relevant integrations in production.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server virtual machines within AWS.
  • Provision, manage, and optimize performance for SQL Server and PostgreSQL database instances.
  • Plan and execute migrations of customer environments and databases across AWS instances and services.
  • Support and maintain hybrid cloud environments, as well as web applications and serverless components.

Production Operations and Reliability Engineering:

  • Monitor the production environment to ensure optimal system uptime and performance across all customers.
  • Implement automation solutions to support proactive maintenance, resource scaling, and incident response.
  • Apply infrastructure-as-code principles for repeatable and reliable cloud deployments.

Application Hosting and Optimisation:

  • Host and manage .NET applications across IaaS, PaaS, and serverless environments.
  • Evaluate and implement best-fit hosting strategies for components of the WMS stack.

Technical Development and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Development Manager and DevOps teams to define cloud architecture and operational strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a focus on AWS.
  • Proven experience deploying and managing Windows Server environments in production.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud application delivery, including virtualized desktop or app streaming technologies.
  • Experience hosting .NET applications across IaaS, PaaS, and serverless AWS services.
