Artificial Intelligence Technical Leadership

The AI/ML technical leadership role involves strategic direction, people management and day-to-day delivery of the AI/ML team. This includes building, deploying and maintaining robust, scalable and efficient machine learning models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Strategy: Provide technical leadership and align with overall company objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, MLOps engineers and machine learning engineers to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
  • Architecture Design: Contribute to AI/ML architecture design and implementation.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with business, engineering, infrastructure and data science teams to translate their needs or challenges into production-grade Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models.
  • Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and aligning with project goals and objectives.
  • Mentorship: Guide the AI/ML engineers with respect to business objectives, connecting the dots and helping the team come up with optimal ML models based on use cases.
  • Operations Management: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to process, scope, quality and timelines.

The ideal candidate should have Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, at least 12-15 years of experience, 2+ years of experience leading/managing AI/ML projects and strong understanding of relevant domains.

A strong understanding of AI/ML concepts & algorithms is necessary, including supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning. The ability to take successful, complex ideas from experimentation to production is also required. Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus. Additional skills include excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, proven experience in leading, motivating and inspiring teams and identifying, assessing and calling out risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
