Job Summary

  • Oversee end-to-end accounting and book closure activities across all locations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan, implement, and oversee the overall accounting strategy and day-to-day finance operations.
  2. Manage core accounting functions including general ledger, payroll, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
  3. Handle reconciliations related to capital assets, trust accounts, check runs, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
  4. Monitor and analyze accounting data to generate timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
  5. Ensure adherence to accounting standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining a deep understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  6. Drive timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures as per company expectations.
  7. Assist the Controller/CFO with daily banking requirements, including accurate processing of positive pay transactions.
  8. Collaborate with entire finance team and management to align with departmental and organizational goals.
  9. Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and use of resources within the department.
  10. Train and advise team members on handling routine financial reporting and transactions.
  11. Design and implement MIS reporting formats, deliver standalone and consolidated reports to management on a monthly basis.
  12. Address queries from stakeholders related to financial results or ad hoc reporting needs.
  13. Supervise the general ledger team to ensure timely compliance with all financial reporting deadlines.
  14. Support the development and implementation of new accounting procedures and departmental workflows.
  15. Work on special projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement and system optimization.
  16. Serve as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for bookkeeping on Zoho and Tally platforms.

Requirements

  • CA / CMA / ICWA qualified with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), or semi-qualified professionals with 8 - 9 years of relevant combined experience (including training).
  • Proven experience in overseeing accounting operations and managing general ledger processes across multiple entities.
  • Solid understanding of Income Tax and GST provisions, with practical application to day-to-day transactions.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written, with the ability to engage confidently across teams and with leadership.
  • Proactive, smart, and self-motivated professional with a positive attitude.
  • Hands-on experience with ZOHO and Tally is essential.
  • Zoho certification required.
  • Comfortable and efficient in using AI tools for productivity enhancement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
