About the Role

As a Land Acquisition Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic plans to acquire land for wind projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Project Development, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the land acquisition process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify suitable land plots for wind energy projects.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate potential land acquisition sites.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local agencies and stakeholders to facilitate smooth land acquisition and usage processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to land acquisition and renewable energy projects.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among team members and external parties to meet project timelines and objectives.

Requirements:

  • At least 12 years of experience in land acquisition involving revenue/private/forest land for wind/solar projects.
  • Strong understanding of government policies, permits, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects and land acquisition.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective collaboration with team members, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to conduct preliminary due diligence checks on lands and assess land risks.
  • Proficiency in identifying suitable developers/aggregators for renewable energy projects.
  • Ability to secure lands within targeted timelines.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to execute land procurement targets, plans, and project development activities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a results-oriented approach.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges in land acquisition and project development.
