Staff Accountant Job Description

The Staff Accountant plays a vital role in assisting the accounting team with bank, merchant, and credit card reconciliations. This position is responsible for producing timely and accurate monthly statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing monthly bank reconciliations
  • Completing monthly credit card reconciliations
  • Reconciling and posting merchant fee statements
  • Reconciling third-party payment processor statements
  • Filing and recording documents and receipts

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Field (preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred
