Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

  • We are seeking a seasoned expert to join our team as a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support for AWS systems running SAP and non-SAP applications. You will respond to customer tickets in a timely manner, owning infrastructure issues until resolution. Proactive identification of root causes, recommending and implementing solutions is also key to your success.

You will work on projects supporting the build and migration of SAP systems on AWS. Your liaison with the basis and other teams is crucial in ensuring customer requirements are met.

Providing out-of-hours support cover when scheduled to the support rota is an essential part of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical support for AWS systems running SAP and non-SAP applications
  • Responding to customer tickets and owning infrastructure issues to resolution
  • Proactive identification of root causes and recommending/implementing solutions
  • Liaising with basis and other teams to meet customer requirements
  • Providing out-of-hours support cover when scheduled

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A self-starter mindset, able to work independently and across teams
  • Experience working directly with clients and project teams to implement processes and technology that support various technical and business functions
  • Hands-on engineering and configuration of cloud infrastructures using automation tools
  • Solid knowledge of automated provisioning and DevOps tooling
  • Demonstrated involvement in projects spanning the lifecycle from planning and design through deployment, configuration, and migration
  • In-depth experience in AWS IaaS, SaaS & PaaS offerings, as well as compute, storage, network, load balancer, and container management
  • Experience with SUSE, RHEL, and Windows operating systems
  • Networking principles and implementation experience
  • System and environment hardening expertise
  • Application and infrastructure management and monitoring tools knowledge
