System Testing Manager

Job Purpose:

  • To oversee and manage system testing activities for multiple applications within Equity Cash and Equity Derivatives exchange systems, ensuring functional accuracy, performance, compliance, and seamless integration with trading, clearing, and settlement processes.

Key Result Areas:

  1. Understand and interpret functional requirements of Equity Cash and Equity Derivatives trading, risk management, and settlement modules; prepare test plans and estimations; manage design, documentation, and execution of test cases; allocate testers; manage defects and bug reporting; coordinate with stakeholders for release management; monitor SOP adherence.
  2. Test progress reporting to business, technology, and compliance teams.
  3. Participate in Exchange Mock Trading and Market Simulation Activities for both Cash and Derivatives segments.
  4. Participate in Internal Audit activities of SOP and regulatory compliance checks.
  5. Monitor process implementation as per defined SOP and exchange regulatory guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred) / Master's degree in Computer Applications or Science (with good academic record).
  • At least one testing certification from a reputed institute (preferred).

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience managing system testing activities in the BFSI domain.
  • Direct experience in Equity Cash and/or Equity Derivatives exchange systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with trading life cycle, order matching engines, market data dissemination, and post-trade processes.

Functional Competencies required:

  • Detailed knowledge of exchange trading platforms, clearing and settlement systems, and risk management modules.
  • Technical fluency in relevant programming languages and database systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements from exchanges and clearing corporations.

Behavioral Skills required:

  • Ability to communicate in both technical and business-friendly language.
  • Continuous learning mind-set to keep pace with evolving market structures and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy under time-critical conditions.
