Sports Content Editing Role

As a seasoned sports content editor, you will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of published articles by editing and refining them to resonate with readers.

  • Main Responsibilities:

  • Edit and publish 18-20 articles per day, maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and relevance.
  • Fine-tune content to enhance its impact and engage readers, drawing on deep understanding of audience preferences.
  • Collaborate closely with writers, editors, and content managers in a fast-paced newsroom environment to constantly refine and elevate published content.
  • Mentor and empower writers, helping them grow and evolve as contributors to the team.
  • Stay up-to-date with breaking news to ensure readers are always informed about unfolding events.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Media/Journalism, or a related field.
  • 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or a similar role.
  • Strong command of the English language and understanding of American culture.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and guide a team of talented writers.
  • Possess a genuine passion for sports, including eagerness to cover live events and in-depth analyses.
