Apache Trino Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Apache Trino engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed computing frameworks, large-scale data systems, and SQL performance tuning.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures using Apache Trino.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement optimizations.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  1. Strong hands-on experience with Apache Trino (PrestoSQL) in production environments.
  2. Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
  3. Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
  4. Knowledge of Hive Metastore, Iceberg, Delta Lake, HDFS, Kafka, S3, GCS, or ADLS.
  5. Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, and troubleshooting JVM-based applications.
  6. Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
  7. Experience with Kubernetes or Docker-based deployments.
  8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
