Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Engineer to lead our team in developing and implementing large-scale data architectures. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines, working closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of big data engineers in designing and implementing data pipelines
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs
  • Design and implement large-scale data architectures
  • Develop data pipelines using batch processing with Apache Spark or Hive query language (HQL)
  • Build streaming data pipelines using Apache Spark Structured Streaming or Apache Flink on Kafka & Delta Lake

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in big data engineering
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure providers such as Azure/AWS
  • Experience with at least one Cloud Infra provider (Azure/AWS)
  • Excellent problem analysis skills
  • Good understanding of CI CD tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Bamboo and Azure Dev-ops
  • Basic understanding of scripting (shell / bash)
  • Ability to debug, fine tune and optimize large scale data processing jobs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of NOSQL databases
  • Experience with Cosmos DB, Restful API's and GraphQL
  • Knowledge of Big data ETL processing tools, Data modelling and Data mapping
  • Experience with Hive and Hadoop file formats (Avro / Parquet / ORC)
