Procurement Manager Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our pricing database, coordinating with marketing teams, and negotiating with carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain our pricing database to evaluate the success of our pricing levels and strategy.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure timely pricing requests and meet turn-around-time expectations.
  • Negotiate freight rates with liners and forwarders, sharing updates with marketing teams on a weekly basis.
  • Collaborate with carriers, feeder operators, and agents to obtain the best rates.
  • Filing freight costs in lines and updating freights in systems for air and sea transport.
  • Analyze performance data to provide insights that inform management decision-making.
  • Generate market information and disseminate it through relevant channels to support sales efforts.
