Siebel Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Siebel Administrator to manage and support our Siebel environments including installation, configuration, performance tuning, upgrades, and ongoing administration. The role involves working across Windows and Linux platforms with deployments on-premises and in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Siebel installations on Windows and Linux platforms to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Perform upgrades to Siebel versions IP17 and above to stay up-to-date with the latest features and security patches.
  • Configure and manage Gateway clustering and multi-mode AI load balancing for optimal system performance.
  • Troubleshoot EAI component crashes using FDR, component logs, and other diagnostic tools to minimize downtime.
  • Carry out system administration tasks such as parameter configuration, SSO setup, and LDAP integration to ensure smooth system operation.
  • Automate repetitive administrative activities wherever possible to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Siebel systems and components to ensure they operate at peak levels.
  • Integrate and manage tools such as WebLogic Server, BI Publisher, OAS, and OAP with Siebel to streamline operations.
  • Set up and test disaster recovery environments to ensure business continuity in case of an emergency.
  • Manage and monitor Siebel deployments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or similar cloud platforms to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Perform basic Oracle database administration tasks as required to maintain system integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Siebel Administration to manage complex systems.
  • Proficiency in upgrades to IP17 or later versions to stay current with industry best practices.
  • Well-versed in Gateway clustering and AI load balancing to configure and manage high-performing systems.
  • Experienced in performance tuning of Siebel infrastructure to optimize system performance.
  • Capable of analyzing and resolving EAI component issues to minimize downtime.
  • Good understanding of SSO, LDAP to Active Directory, and system integrations to ensure secure and seamless system operation.
  • Ability to automate and streamline administrative tasks to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Knowledge of WebLogic, BI Publisher, OAS, and related integrations to integrate and manage tools effectively.
  • Experience with DR setup and validation to ensure business continuity.
  • Exposure to managing Siebel on cloud platforms such as OCI to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Basic skills in Oracle Database administration to perform routine maintenance tasks.
