Trade Compliance Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to implement SAP projects based on S4 Hana technology, requiring strong understanding of international trade compliance regulations, customs procedures, and trade finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary point of contact for all GTS-related processes.
  • Lead requirements validation, workshops, development of functional design, design functional and UAT test scripts, and assist with training development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on current processes and propose solutions to enhance current systems.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement complex configuration solutions and carry out full cycle configuration to meet business needs.
  • Develop WRICEF objects independently in collaboration with the ABAP team.
  • Customize and configure the SAP GTS module to align with global trade compliance requirements.
  • Design and implement compliance processes, including sanctioned party list screening, embargo checks, and legal control.
  • Drive the configuration and optimization of import/export declaration processes and customs procedures.
  • Oversee the setup of product classification, preference determination, and origin management to reduce duty costs.
  • Enable seamless integration with government platforms by configuring electronic filing processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain effective trade compliance processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the SAP GTS system.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and colleagues.
  • Stay informed about changes in international trade regulations and compliance laws.
  • Act as the point of contact for troubleshooting SAP GTS-related issues.
